Competition Rules:
A minimum of FIVE (5) separate and identifiable portions per category in containers supplied to Griller at check-in must be submitted for judging.
PULLED PORK – Each team will be given an aluminum pan and lid for turn-in.
RIBS – Each team will be given an aluminum pan and lid for turn-in.
BBQ SAUCE – Each team will be given 5 -2 ounce cups, and an aluminum pan to be turned into judges.
COLESLAW – Each team will be given 5 -2 ounce cups, and an aluminum pan to be turned into judges.
DESSERT – Each team will be given 5 -2 ounce cups, and an aluminum pan to be turned into judges.
SCORING – Each entry will be scored by five (5) judges:
PULLED PORK – will be scored in the areas of APPEARANCE, TASTE/FLAVOR, TENDERNESS, and TEXTURE.
RIBS - will be scored in the areas of APPEARANCE, TASTE/FLAVOR, TENDERNESS, and TEXTURE.
BBQ SAUCE- will be scored in the areas of APPEARANCE, TASTE/FLAVOR, AND SMELL.
COLESLAW – will be scored in the areas of APPEARANCE, TASTE/FLAVOR, TENDERNESS, and TEXTURE.
DESSERT – will be scored in the areas of APPEARANCE, TASTE/FLAVOR, SMELL, and TEXTURE.
